I'm curious where your art knowledge comes from, how you find and select the piece each day, and if there's anything you'd recommend for someone looking to learn more. Cheers!
Good question! I would definitely not consider myself knowledgeable about art or art history. What I've done that I recommend in the absence of a book (I'm sure there are some killer books on each movement) is doing a deep dive into an artist whose work you enjoy, track their particular movement, influences, contemporaries and those who replaced them, deep dive on some of those, repeat. If you like studying history, I find it really interesting to learn the history that the art is responding to as well. Goya is my favorite artist, and so learning about Franco helps inform the work.
