The Durant stat says "without" for both records. Context let's you figure it out but just wanted to mention it cus I was confused at first (love your stuff, hope this doesn't come off poorly)
Rockets up four at 1:24 when Dillon Brooks misses a three, up one at :54 when he misses a fadeaway jumper, then Lillard does to him what he has done to many others at :DameTime.
The Suns have not been good lately, for sure. It's not just Durant though... Beal has missed the last 4 games, Nurkic has missed time and been mostly ineffectual in the games he has played, Allen has been in-and-out. Hard to win without 3 starters and a top bench option. Booker's getting swarmed and no one else can hit shots consistently.
You noted in your last newsletter that Detroit’s rise is proof that coaching matters. Which I absolutely agree with — the funny thing is… JB Bickerstaff was fired by the Cavaliers, who are appreciably better than they were last year with Kenny Atkinson at the helm. Which should also be proof that coaching matters. Wildly oversimplifying things, does this just mean Kenny > JB > Monty?

The Sixers have got me feeling like the guy on the far left of that painting

‘Taking him to the watch shop’ is so good I hear it in the Goatmentator’s voice.
