Putting Dame closer to Steph than John Wall makes sense, but I do think it worth pointing out that Wall is 31 and Russell Westbrook is 33 and those are big contracts that have not aged super well. Dame has been healthier until this year. Dame at 36 would be worrisome if I were a prospective gm. I think I still agree that paying him with reasonable hope he can bounce back like Chris Paul is the right move.
Tom, this is completely unrelated to your post, but it's something I'm curious about. Do you have any idea why the professional basketball league in Ecuador has a team named after the Sacramento Kings? None of the other teams appear to be named after NBA teams.
