re: the least basketball relevant part of this GMIB - I started buying Onitsuka Tigers again a few years ago and it's been a great decision. They have some lace-less versions that are particularly nice and comfy. I probably get more compliments on those than any other shoe I've worn. I think I have 4 versions in different colors now and it's accidentally become a part of my personality, but oh well.

Here's the most recent one I got - https://www.onitsukatiger.com/us/en-us/mexico-66-slip-on/p/ANA_D3K0N-5099.html. Seriously can't recommend them enough, especially during the summer. They're really lightweight and feel almost in between a sandal and a sneaker.
