Bulls 124, Heat 116 — According to ESPN’s RPI, Miami has had the league’s second softest schedule to date. They are 14-11, essentially tied for No. 6 in the East. Giving up 124 to the Bulls at home — with Coby White and Ayo Dosunmu combining for 50 on 70% eFG — is not a good sign.
The Bulls are now 5-2 since Zach LaVine went into exile. White is suddenly one of the best value contracts in the NBA.
Cavaliers 107, Celtics 116 — Boston is relentlessly good. Celtics fan readers, are you learning anything about this team, or just waiting out the string until the playoffs, knowing this club is going to win 55-60 (or more!) games but not sure how they’ll respond to familiar pressures with the lights are brighter?
Timberwolves 119, Mavericks 101 — Dallas took a quick 15-point lead in the first quarter as Luka Doncic exploded out of the gate. And then .. the Wolves calmed down, Naz Reid and Karl-Anthony Towns took over on offense and Minnesota ran away. Luka finished with 39 but Anthony Edwards made it tougher for him late in the game.
