Jordan Poole and Nikola Jokic have the same number of NBA championship rings
What else do they have in common?
Good morning. Thanks to all who shared and gave positive feedback on Thursday’s newsletter on J.J. Redick. Lots of action to cover this morning. Let’s basketball.
Scores
Nets 93, Raptors 121 — Horrifying stuff from the Nets.
Knicks 110, Sixers 96 — Good win for New York considering that coming out of the break both Julius Randle and O.G. Anunoby remain out. Anunoby says he’ll be back before the playoffs. Randle might opt for surgery on his shoulder. So Bojan Bogdanovic might need to have some more 6/6 nights from three.
Kyle Lowry celebrated his Philly homecoming by bleeding all over the place.
Pistons 115, Pacers 129 — No All-Star hangover for Tyrese Haliburton (25 and 13). Meanwhile, Isaiah Stewart has been suspended three games for his skirmish with Drew Eubanks before Suns-Pistons prior to the break. What a season for the Pistons.
Magic 116, Cavaliers 109 — Big win for Orlando as Donovan Mitchell sat with an illness. The Magic went 14/25 from deep. All-Star Game stuff.
Suns 113, Mavericks 123 — It’s unlikely the Suns will face the Mavericks in a playoff series. But they could face off in a play-in game. And I dare say the Suns want no part of that.
Luka. 41-9-11. Mavericks have won seven straight.
Unfortunately, some of the worst local fans in the nation live in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex.
