Let’s get this out of the way. On Monday morning, I used a partial title of an emo song as my subject line. Hours later, Jimmy Butler wore a black emo swoop wig and fake (?) facial piercings to the Miami Heat’s Media Day and declared that he is emo.

It’s in the air, dearies. Can’t wait to be greeted by the emo swoop in official NBA highlight clips all season, much like we experienced the fake braids last year.
