Don't count your [Celtics] before they [collapse]
Boston appears poised to do this. Miami just needs one good game, though.
Good morning. Let’s basketball.
Umm … Miami Heat? Are you really going to do this? After going up 3-0 in stirring fashion, are you going to become the “1” in the “teams that go up 3-0 in an NBA playoffs series are XXXX-1” statistic shown on screen every time a team goes up 3-0 for the next five decades?
The Celtics took a 15-5 lead in Game 5 just 5 minutes and 1 second into the game. Miami trailed by double-digits the entirety of the rest of the game. The three are finally falling for Boston, which puts any opponent in trouble. Miami shot well enough, too, but fell into the same Game 4 trap of committing far too many turnovers. They also didn’t control the defensive glass and didn’t get to the line. They were missing Gabe Vincent, but there’s really no excuse to get so readily dominated.
The Heat seemed … overwhelmed, something we haven’t seen since the Atlanta Hawks stomped them in a very important play-in game that could have led to the Miami Heat missing the playoffs entirely.
