Inside, Outside
First from broadcasting news: Warner Bros. Discovery has settled their lawsuit against the NBA over the media rights deal. The settlement involved ABC/ESPN licensing Inside the NBA from TNT Sports, and current TNT Sports platforms including Bleacher Report and House of Highlights retaining full global rights to video. The short version is that WBD will continue to produce Inside the NBA … but it will air on ESPN and ABC instead of TNT (since TNT won’t have games). ESPN will apparently not have a role in production of the show, which should keep it very similar to what it is now.
This is the best possible solution to keep the Inside crew in our lives beyond this season. Apparently Shaq is still negotiating his deal to remain on Inside but everyone else is locked in.
Frequency and timing of the show are unknown. ESPN will be airing games on Wednesdays and weekends starting next season. So the assumption is that Inside would move to Wednesday evening.
Now we just wait to see if Amazon or NBC picks up Kevin Harlan.

Putting more court images in this newsletter might break email, so no screenshots. But you can see them all in video clips, of course.
